Currently, Aerocon is the only company offering airstairs on many of these models.
Each stair shares common design features for easy scalability into other applications. The unit is mounted to the cabin floor and deploys through the desired door. The airstair is stowed in its own closet, so as not to obstruct the door when ground support equipment is being used.
Airstairs Auxiliary Hydraulic Power Pack
The Airstair Auxiliary Hydraulic Power Pack (AAHPP) Model No. AC29-1000 is a self-contained unit for purging air out of the Airstair hydraulic system. By cycling the Airstair up and down two times, the AAHPP automatically purges air out of the system while filling the system with hydraulic fluid.
It can be used in troubleshooting or in checking replaced Airstair components. By toggling the Deploy / Retract switch, you can replace a hydraulic actuator in a timely manner.
The AAHPP can also be used as a backup in the event of Airstair pump motor failure, or to override a shorted switch in the deploy circuit. The AAHPP has the following capabilities:
- It can operate off the Aircraft power supply or with the Power Adapter, P/N CA3100E24-11S.
- It can operate off a portable regulated DC Power supply box that plugs into a 220 AC outlet or with the battery adapter (customer furnished part).
- It can be plugged directly into a 24 Volt battery box.
